The TD-LIF, installed on the FAAM BAE146 aircraft, was used in July 2010 during the RONOCO campaign, aimed at studying the NO3 at night.

In 2010, the TD-LIF instrument was certified for installation on board the English instrumental aircraft BAE146 (FAAM, Cranfield, UK).

The TD-LIF, on board this scientific plane, has been used in several international campaigns. In the summer of 2010, in particular between 12 and 30 July 2010, the RONOCO Summer campaign took place, whose PI was Prof. Rod Jones (Cambridge University).

The main objective of the RONOCO campaign (ROle of Nighttime Chemistry in Controlling the Oxidizing Capacity of the atmOsphere) was the study of the processes and the role of NO3 in nocturnal chemistry in Western Europe in different seasons and chemical-physical conditions of the troposphere. The flights, in fact, took place mainly at night, affecting the areas of the southern United Kingdom, the English Channel and the North Sea from the East Midland (UK) reference airport.
