Curriculum Vitae

The research activity is documented in the publications listed in the curriculum vitae; the main areas of interest and research activities carried out are outlined below.

During my Bachelor's (2012) and Master's (2015) theses, I worked on environmental monitoring through ground-based and satellite sensors, as well as territorial planning using geographic information systems (GIS).

During my PhD (2016-2020), I also worked through a scholarship (2016-2019) at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (ISAC) of the National Research Council (CNR) and through a research grant at the Polytechnic University of Milan and at GReD, an SME spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Milan (2019-2021). During this period, my research activity focused on the applications of GNSS technology in meteorology, with particular emphasis on extreme events and their forecasting, both at the national level (CNR-ISAC/DPC collaboration) and internationally (H2020 TWIGA Project).

In 2021, I was involved in the H2020-SESAR-2019-2 ALARM project, aimed at identifying areas at high risk of extreme weather events, with a particular focus on airport areas, as well as processing, analyzing, and validating data from a wide variety of sensors to assess their interoperability.

From 2021 to 2023, I worked on a collaboration between CNR-ISAC and DPC within the context of the HSAF Project, focusing on multi-sensor analysis of extreme precipitation events in Italy. The study involved analyzing multiple data sources (ground-based and satellite-based) to characterize and assess the predictability of intense weather events.
